The political landscape in Telangana has taken a dramatic turn with KTR, the BRS working president, possibly facing arrest. Reports surfaced that the Telangana police were investigating KTR in connection to the Kodangal farmer protests, which have recently escalated. This has led to widespread political drama, with KTR himself acknowledging the looming possibility of arrest. In response, he has openly challenged CM Revanth Reddy to arrest him if he can.

The drama unfolded late last night when a massive crowd of BRS supporters gathered outside KTR’s residence, reacting to media reports that the Telangana police were set to take action against him. This was followed by a series of tweets from KTR early this morning, where he strongly denied any wrongdoing and criticized the opposition.

In his tweet, KTR lashed out at Revanth Reddy, accusing him of turning legitimate protests into conspiracies. KTR said, “For a man caught with Rs 50 lakh bribe, everything will seem like a conspiracy! Farmers protesting against your son-in-law’s pharma company will be a conspiracy! Two people talking on the phone is a conspiracy!”

He continued, emphasizing the unfairness of the political situation: “After waiting for your appointment for NINE long months, after facing all your threats, if they revolt – it is of course a conspiracy! If I question against the midnight raids on poor farmer families, illegal arrest & torture – it is definitely a conspiracy!”

The most striking part of KTR’s statement came when he boldly declared, “Arrest me! I will walk into the prison with my head held high for standing by the farmers of Telangana!” His words are a defiant response to the growing political pressure and accusations surrounding him.

The controversy intensified after Patnam Narender Reddy, a former BRS MLA, was arrested yesterday. Media reports suggest that Reddy allegedly revealed that KTR played a role in instigating farmers to attack the collector in Kodangal. This has prompted the Telangana government to take the case more seriously, with authorities reportedly ramping up investigations into the matter.

As the situation unfolds, KTR's challenge to Revanth Reddy and the political tensions surrounding the farmer protests in Telangana are set to keep the state's political atmosphere charged. The stakes are high, and the future of Telangana's political dynamics seems to be teetering on the edge as KTR continues to stand by his position, claiming his actions were in support of the farmers.
