1971 TRIUMPH T100C 500cc street scrambler for SALE in San Jose CA $4500 or BEST OFFER. Original matching-number survivor, mechanically EXCELLENT with plenty oF patina - factory black over Olympic Flame gas tank paint faded by years in the California sun, some pitting in the chrome, some of the black bits also faded... High pipes replaced by previous owner with early style down pipes (no crossover) and shorty mufflers, otherwise a VERY original T100C with folding footpegs, 5 1/4" MCH66 headlight, stainless fenders and stiffer front fork springs. 29K original miles on the speedo, which might sound like a lot, but I have previous owner's receipts for over $8,300 in parts & labor, which includes a complete engine strip-down and rebuild! Much of the work was done at Magri Motors in San Francisco in the mid-1990s, and then completed in November 2004, when the odometer was showing 28,542 miles - in all the years since then the bike has been ridden less than 1000 miles! So you're basically talking about a new motor still on break-in miles! Notable new parts installed above and beyond the engine build include a Lucas wiring harness, Hagon rear shocks, new stainless steel rear fender and dual seat. New Dunlop K70s were also installed back then, the tread reflects the low mileage but the sidewalls do have age cracks.
The bike starts right up, runs VERY strong, clutch, transmission, suspension and brakes all work exactly as they should. A GREAT BIKE to ride on or off-road, and you don't have to worry about it getting rained on or scratched if you drop it in the dirt!!!
Offered here at USD 4500 or BEST OFFER. Pick up in south San Jose, or I can help with shipping anywhere in the lower 48 or internationally. Clean California TITLE in my name, current Non-Op registration.
NOTE: I also have a NEW OLD STOCK '71 Gas Tank (bought from the Sandy Bandit's stash in Portland), and a used set of 67-68 T100C high pipes... I intended to use both on this bike, but just never rode it enough to get around to it - both listed separately in Motorcycle Parts and elsewhere.... THANKS for checking out my post!
