India has strongly rejected two reports published by The Washington Post, accusing the country of involvement in two significant issues. The first report linked India to a failed plot in the Maldives to impeach President Mohamed Muizzu through bribery attempts targeting members of Parliament. The second report alleged that India’s intelligence agency, RAW, had been running covert operations in Pakistan since 2021 to eliminate specific individuals.

In response to the reports, Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal condemned both the newspaper and the reporter, suggesting that they exhibit "compulsive hostility" towards India. Jaiswal further dismissed the credibility of the claims and defended India’s foreign policy stance. Regarding the Pakistan report, Jaiswal referenced Hillary Clinton’s 2011 comments about Pakistan harboring militant groups and the need for Pakistan to address these security issues.

India's response to the reports highlights the ongoing diplomatic tensions and its firm stance against foreign media narratives about its national security strategies.
