Amid BJP Rumors, KCR Locks Unexpected Alliance

Over the last few weeks, media theories and speculations have been rife that BRS is looking to forge an alliance with BJP for the Lok Sabha elections. But all of a sudden, something interesting and unexpected has happened with the BRS outfit as the party has locked a new alliance.

Earlier in the day, BSP Telangana head RS Praveen Kumar met KCR at this residence in Hyderabad and interacted with other BRS leaders who were available during the time of the meeting. Shortly after the meeting, it was announced that BRS and BSP will jointly contest the Lok Sabha elections.

When Praveen Kumar called on KCR, it was initially thought that he would request BRS's support in the Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha constituency where he is contesting. But there was a larger goal that was in consideration and it was made public after the announcement confirmed that BRS and BSP are contesting together.

These two parties will contest in all 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the 2024 election, in principle. KCR and Praveen are likely to announce their joint action plan in the coming days.
