  • Arvind Kejriwal, , Liquor Policy Case

The Delhi Liquor Policy case that has been in investigation phase for nearly a year now took a steep curve as the chief minister of Delhi, ARvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate a short while ago.

The ED sleuths reached Kejriwal's residence earlier and carried out a search operation before arresting the CM upon an intimation to the governor.

Kejriwal was arrested by the ED over money-laundering allegations in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy. This comes after Kejriwal's deputy CM Manish Sisodia was arrested earlier in connection with the same case.

Notably, K Kavitha, the daughter of KCR was also arrested by ED in connection with the Delhi Liquor case last week. Now, the ED has taken a huge step as the chief minister Kejriwal himself was arrested.

The primary allegation is the Delhi Liquor distribution rights were dolled out to private entities in exchange for monetary gains. Several high profile politicians from across the country are allegedly involved in the case.

After Kejriwal's arrest, AAP announced the he will not resign the CM post. He will operate as the CM of Delhi from inside the jail. This is another major curveball with regard to the case.
