In a significant development, the Andhra Pradesh government has suspended three senior IPS officers in connection with this case. The officers under suspension are P. Sitharama Anjaneyulu, the then Director General of Police for Intelligence, Vishal Gunni, the former Deputy Commissioner of Police for Vijayawada Police Commissionerate, and Sri Kanthi Rana Tata, the former Commissioner of Police for the same region. These officers are accused of power abuse and failing to adequately supervise and expedite the investigation into Jetwani’s allegations.
