In a recent turn of events, actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has reignited a political controversy by suggesting that farmers should demand the reinstatement of the farm laws that were previously repealed. Her comments have drawn sharp criticism from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has interpreted her statement as a potential test by the BJP's leadership to gauge public reaction.

In a video message, Gandhi stated, "The BJP people keep testing ideas. They ask someone to present an idea to the public and observe the reaction." He called on Prime Minister Modi to clarify the government's stance, questioning whether the BJP is planning to revive the controversial farm laws, which have been widely opposed by farmers across India.

Gandhi further asserted, "If you do [revive the laws], I guarantee that the INDIA bloc will stand with the farmers," reinforcing the Congress party's commitment to agricultural issues. This statement underscores the ongoing tensions between the Congress and the BJP regarding farmers' rights and agricultural reforms.

Ranaut's remarks have also elicited a strong response from the Congress party, which has firmly stated that these "black laws" will not be reinstated, regardless of BJP's attempts. The party maintains that the repealed laws were detrimental to farmers and the broader agricultural community.

Despite facing backlash, Ranaut reiterated her stance, stating, "I know this will be controversial... but I feel the farm laws that were repealed should be brought back." She emphasized the importance of farmers as a vital component of the nation's development, urging them to advocate for the return of the laws for their own benefit.

The BJP has attempted to distance itself from Ranaut's comments, with party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia asserting that she does not speak for the party on this matter. In response, Ranaut clarified, "My views on farm laws are personal and they don't represent the party's stand on those Bills."

As the political discourse around farmers and agricultural policies intensifies, the implications of Ranaut's comments and the responses from both Congress and the BJP may significantly influence public sentiment ahead of future elections.
