Ram Charan’s highly anticipated movie Game Changer is set to release on January 10th, with premieres on January 9th in the US. The film's producer, Dil Raju, had requested permission for additional shows, ticket price hikes, and benefit shows. However, following the recent controversy surrounding the Pushpa 2 stampede incident, the Telangana government issued a new order.
While the request for a ‘1 am benefit show’ was rejected, the government approved six shows starting from 4 am on January 10th. In addition, a ticket price hike has been approved, with an additional 150 rupees for multiplex theaters and 100 rupees for single theaters on existing rates.
From January 11th to January 19th, the government has allowed five shows a day, with an additional charge of 100 rupees for multiplex theaters and 50 rupees for single theaters. The order emphasized that the permissions were granted due to the film's high budget and significant audience expectations. However, a key condition was included: the theaters must screen advertisements highlighting the dangers of narcotics, drugs, and cybercrime.
